Manarola |
 |
Manarola rises above steep
cliffs plunging into the sea. There are no
berthing facilities, therefore, during sea-storms,
fishermen have no choice but to lift their
boats along the cliffs.
Most charming attractions
are the view of the sea-inlet framed by
the cliffs and the panoramic walks along the
coast.

The Church of St. Lawrence
dated back to 1338. Inside, a polyptych of
the XII century. |
Set all over the flank
of a hill, at Christmas the world-famous main
attraction is a lighted Presepe (Crib) made
of thousands coloured bulbs. |
